Call history

Ozeki Phone System XE offers remarkable call history functionality in order to keep an extensive record of all your calls with details such as name of caller, time, date, length of the call and result of the call. Through call logs, you can easily and systematically keep track of all your communications.

Ozeki Phone System XE produces a packet of data (a call record) after every phone call your company or office makes through it. These call records includes important information about each call, including whether it was an incoming call, an outgoing call, or another type, such as an internal (extension to extension) call.

Call log records hold information about the caller device and the dialed device, as well as extra information such as the call ID, call status (in progress, ended), information about both parties involved, call duration, the time of the call, and other information, such as which telephone line (trunk) was used to carry the call and what events occured during the call (the phone line was busy or the call was terminated).

The usual practice of call logging involves capturing these call records, parsing it, and storing them in a database, and their subsequent retrieval by way of a reporting interface in the software.

In case the called person is included in the built-in phone book, his name will appear in the call list. Otherwise, only the telephone number appears in the call list. This telephone number then can be easily added to the phone book with a few clicks.

Once the call log is enabled in General configuration menu, then by clicking on the given call, the detailed log can be seen. The log includes the whole SIP communication of the call.

Advantages of using the call list

One of the greatest advantages the call list offers is that all the previous calls can be researched. This way, customers who had conversations with the employees of the company can be easily tracked and recalled. The unanswered calls are also recorded by the system so all of these calls can be researched and recalled.

The call list gives the opportunity to rate the phone traffic and you can use call log data for strategic planning. The amount of telephone requests within a given time period can be quantified. Control of the incoming traffic can also be achieved so you can trace the calls that were initiated by the employees. You can easily determine the number of the calls you wish to record during the configuration of call logs.
