What is DID

The DID or DDI (Direct Inward Dialing) is a service offered by telephone companies. It is used to connect the costumers with the PBX centre.

All of the costumers get a private telephone number from the PBX. The real telephone lines, which are limited, are used just when they are needed, when the costumer makes a phone call out of the telephone network.

With these services the telephone lines can easily be shared and controlled, and the resources and the cost can be reduced.

Of course you can attach voice mails or other modern services into this network, to reduce the cost and the usage of the telephone lines.
