This section is going to inform you about some Snom products and the way you can use it with your Ozeki Phone System. If you intend to have Snom IP phones in your Ozeki Phone System network, this page will surely help in getting to know the basics about some Snom IP phones and how to setup and use them with your Ozeki Phone System PBX (Private Branch eXchange).
If you choose Snom products, you must register the phones this way:
- first, plug your Snom phone into the network and boot it up
- type the Snom IP address to a web browser
- in the menu screen click on Setup, then Line 1 and configure the settings
- do advanced setup for DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ) to ON and press Ave to apply the settings
- dial 902. You must receive a confirmation message
Snom Series
If you choose Snom phones as your Ozeki Phone System extensions, independently from which type(s) you choose, all can serve as a proper extension in your Ozeki Phone System.
These phones are capable to:
- manage VoIP phone calls, of course
- display messages
- use the alphanumeric keys to enter numbers, letters and special characters
- transfer calls
- manage messages from voicemail box
- use handsets and headsets as well
- have phone user interface and web user interface (behave like a normal IP phone or like a computer with a softphone)
- and many other features that can make it easy to use your Ozeki Phone System PBX solutions
Setup
The setup of a Snom IP phones does not differ from the setup of any other IP phones in your Ozeki Phone System. After the registration on the Snom website, you just need to enter your Ozeki Phone System WebGUI (graphical user interface), then:
- choose Connections
- choose Extensions
- click on "Install"
- provide the user data to the form
- push the MENU button on the Snom IP phone
- find "SIP settings"
- type in the same user data that you have just given to your Ozeki Phone System
- repeat this easy and fast process with each device
Now your system is ready to be used. You can also make further settings like creating ring groups or defining call routing rules, and so on.
