How to setup Fring VoIP calls with Ozeki PBX

VoIP calling is probably one of the most necessary developments your business needs (Voice over Internet Protocol controls transmission of multimedia sessions over the Internet). This technology offers you the possibility to be available all over the world. Fring and Ozeki Phone System have two different roles in this process, but they can work together if you set them up together in the way this article explains it to you.

Fring is an application, which connects all the popular VoIP services. It means that you do not need to run several instant messaging and voice and video calling applications simultaneously, and you do not need a conversation partner who uses the same program as you do, because Fring solves all these problems.

  1. Download and install both Fring and Ozeki Phone System by following the user-friendly steps in their installation wizards.

  2. Start Fring and get into its “Services Selection” menu.

  3. Choose SIP and press Next (Session Initiation Protocol initiates, terminates and maintains connection during a multimedia session).

  4. When you should Select SIP service name, choose Other.

  5. On “SIP Service Setup” screen add the user ID, password and SIP proxy that Ozeki Phone System gave you when you obtained the service.

  6. You are ready to make a VoIP call.

How to make a VoIP call

  1. In your address book, choose a contact and press “Options”

  2. Choose Call, then choose SIP call. (Then your Ozeki Phone System account will be used)

    • Within North America dial: 1 + Area code + Phone Number
    • Outside North America dial Country code + City code + Phone number
